The first three years of operation went by fast! We spent 2018 recovering, like many in the Houston area, from Harvey. We added staff, we acquired Bowled Up. We spent a lot of time getting Bowled Up into the OffBeat Eatz operations, menu, and branding. We’re pleased at the response to Bowled Up’s fresh new menu and look.
For 2019, we have been just as busy, focusing on our OffBeat Eatz operations, revamping the menu a bit and bringing back our pizzas. Our notable feat was revamping the crew that operates OffBeat Eatz on a daily basis. You’ve probably noticed and tasted the changes. The single most important change was adding Chef Justin Faulkner to our staff. He’s glad to be working along with Chef Gerald Warner to revamp our menu and operations. You’ll see some menu specials that Chef Justin has created.
What else will you see? Who knows! Some of the things you may have noticed: online ordering for pickup is now available; new menu items and specials. We’re thankful for your support and look forward to seeing you on the streets!
Happy New Year! We’re back on the streets to wrap up three (3) years of service and looking forward to our fourth (4) year of business!
What can you expect for the new year? A few menu changes, with some new options coming on line soon! We will keep you updated on our social media feeds, so make sure you follow us!
Here’s to looking forward to a new year, full of new and exciting things!
It’s that time of year for cooler weather in the Houston area. This means times to be outdoors, celebrate the season, and end of year.
Don’t forget to plan ahead, food trucks get busy quickly!

The weather is turning fair and the days are growing longer. A bit of change is in the air as we transition from winter to spring, though in Houston, we really don’t have much of a winter.
As it’s a time for change, we have been reviewing our plans with the big purple truck and the future of our operations.
Do we divide and conquer, adding a second truck?
Do we establish a brick and mortar location?
What do we do to build our customer base?
After a bit of thought, both options proved to be challenging. Finding the right truck to build out the fleet is a great possibility. Establishing a brick and mortar proved to be extremely challenging, so we’ll wait for the right place.
So what do we do now that we’re starting our third year of operations?
Inquiring minds want to know!
We decided to get a second truck, though not to expand our OffBeat offerings. We are pleased to announce that we have acquired the Bowled Up operations which will complement the big purple truck operations. The Bowled Up menu will be fresh and new, featuring Asian fusion bowls, plus a few more surprises as we ramp up the operations.
Welcome to the fleet, Bowled Up!
Bowled Up, freshly powered by OffBeat Eatz.
Update: Maybe it was the terrible twos, but we’re completing our second year and starting our third year of operations!
We’re glad to announce that we’re turning three years old this month. We are thankful for the many places around the great Houston metropolitan area and many great customers that have supported us.
As we turn three years old, we’re gearing up for a busy year. We are ready to hire more staff, so if you are wanting to enjoy working on a food truck, drop us a line. We are seeking people with experience in a professional kitchen environment, whether it’s a line cook, sous chef, expeditor or general kitchen staff. We’ll train you on our operations and standards that our customer have grown to expect. We have fun, we go to many places and we work hard. We also get to play and enjoy the places we visit.
Talk to us, we’ll be glad to hear what you have to offer and see if we can do to put another successful year in the books and on the streets!
